Over the last 30 years, Perla Lichi has become a major force in the design community. A native of Mexico City, she moved with her family to South Florida in the mid ’70s and grew up in Hollywood, Florida. In 1983 she graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. After working with several prominent local designers, she founded her own interior design firm in 1990. Today Perla Lichi Design thrives in high-end residential interior design work, commercial design work, and model merchandising.
Lichi is regarded as a renowned, global, and multicultural interior designer, as she understands and captures various styles from many cultures around the world. Known for her diverse projects, she has been designing luxury residential and commercial interiors throughout North America with a hint of focus in Florida, California and New York. Globally, she has designed masterpieces throughout the world in which she has been captured in many acclaimed books and media outlets. Today, they are doing many remodeling and updating for today’s style as they are known as global trendsetters in the design world.
Lichi is a creative, innovative interior designer with sound business sense. She is also a specialist in art history, color, and space planning,with a keen eye for detail and architectural elements. Her firm also excels at providing custom built-in cabinetry and interior architectural detailing in unique finishes.

During her earlier years as a business owner, Lichi started out with small projects such as model homes and local residences. Successfully, she later expanded into larger-scale projects, both across the country and overseas. Lichi now maintains showrooms in South Florida’s Coral Springs and Pompano Beach, as well as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Her extensive portfolio includes private residences on the impressive Star Island in Miami Beach and California legacy estates, which span up to 45,000-sq. ft. Additionally, Lichi has worked on custom A to Z design projects in South Africa and 30,000-sq. ft. palaces in the Middle East. An expert in her field, she is also the author of numerous design books, including her newest, “Interior Design Inspirations: from Cottages to Castles.” She has now opened a new division called “Sacred Creations” for design of religious spaces.
Always striving for excellence, a graduate of the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale with an Interior Design degree, Lichi maintains active memberships with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She has won over 600 Awards in the U.S. and also in many international regions for many design projects.
